The Digital Financier is the world's first online financial professional resource web site. This web site is the evolution of The Financial Institutions Internet Sourcebook that was published by the Irwin Professional Publishing division of McGraw-Hill in January 1997. The objective was to provide up-to-date information to financial industry professionals about how to use the World Wide Web, to provide financial products and services to customers and to provide information needed in everyday business.
We knew, however, that the book would require additions soon after its publication. As a result, the concept of a constantly evolving online book of selected and recommended web links was devised to assist readers of the book and others to keep current about unfolding opportunities in the world of online finance, business and the Internet economy.
Our goal is to develop this Web site so that it will be visited by business executives more often than any other. Currently the site provides links to all the sites reviewed in The Financial Institutions Internet Sourcebook. Many new sites have been added since the book was written and the site is now a help site for the busy executive.
The Digital Financier is the brainchild of Gary Lewis Evans Gary spent his career in the financial services business. Gary has been CEO and CFO of financial service companies. Gary is currently a founder and President of Bank of Internet, USA, a speaker and promoter for the "New Digital Economy" and in particular, applications for the financial services industry
